Stranded in the Middle [Aoi, Open]

Watching the female play with the water like she was, Nikolas almost forgot they were even having a full conversation. His eyes kept in motion with the water until she started going done into the nitty gritty details of things. Nikolas chuckled a bit as his food was brought and the young woman hurried off again to go to other customers. This girl was different, trying to get answers to something she did not need to know yet. As usual, he would have to bluff to an extent – without giving himself away.

Leaning on the table, he ingored several stares that told him to get away from this freak of a girl. But he did not listen to those messages they sent at him. Growing up in Southperry helped him understand the differences between the two schools and he enjoyed seeing differences back then and now. Both schools were the same in their stubbornness and it made him smile to the point it was funny. But it always had been replaced by a somber tone because they feelings of it were death.

“I am a magic user and... well.... Maelstrom is more physical based. So it gives me a chance to teach without getting beaten up to a bloody pulp. Does that answer your question?”

“Oh, about that...” Nikolas patted behind him, feeling the strip of his backpack and looked at it. There were reasons why students at Maelstrom were not exactly in a chipper mood when they saw him. Out of most of the teachers, the red head was one of the few that practiced range that was not a Virgo to say the least. People avoided most Virgos to begin with – but most knew they were magic users. To be a magic user along with a ranged weapon user was more of a determent – and a teacher no less – scared many of the close range students.

Nikolas grinned at the girl when she started eating. But a quick grab into his bag, he pulled out a silver gun, detailing on the side of an odd etching of vines it seemed. It's hilt was made of fine mahogany, something most had not seen in a while. Its twin was still in the bag itself, but only showing one would suffice right now. “This is what most get afraid of – minus what they know will happen if I am the one to suggest or administer punishment.” Pushing a piece of hair out of his eyes, he continued. He could ingore the fact that he would not reveal his Zodiac's specialty. “And it doesn't help that this becomes ten times deadly within a zodiac state of any... of my sign... You do know what that state, do you not? Or have your teachers not told you?”

To be honest, it was one of the classes he was teaching this year, and he wanted to see how much Tempest had told their students and he could gauge how much teaching he would need to give them.
