"Hold steady, Eira." A female whispered to herself as she readied her halberd to attack the practice dummy. Its strawed body was growling at her to attack while the students around the academy were busy either pushing water in one's face or just playing cruel tricks on one another. For her, not today. And being at least three years older than many of the students here at the Tempest Academy, that was not her style.
As Ricardo told her time and time before, he told the young girl. "Do not think on their differences and commonalities with you. It will only make you insane. But rather, tolerate and respect them. They will give the same to you." Closing her eyes, the young Cancer bent her knees slightly - knowing his words rang true, but only so far to the extent she was ostracized with her peers. Gripping her polearm, she could sense a body walking behind her, saying nothing to her as she thrust the weapon outwards, nearly hitting a twelve year old that had just started.
His, or maybe her, eyes were widened, frightened by the fact he/she could have been killed because of practice. Eira lifted her head and flicked her head back wards toward the clearing, her blue hair moving fluidly with it. Without a word spoken, the young one mumbled something worryingly under his/her breath before leaving Eira in peace once again.
Back into position, the Cancer let her halberd stay to her side. "Argh!" She grunted out while swinging the weapon from the left to the right, making a clean cut into the straw dummy's abdomen. If it were the tournament, a student would be bleeding to death from the strike if they were not fast enough. "Figures." She stated, all too happy that she hit it. Then reality sank in as usual. "Eira, you know it wouldn't stand still like that. You need to find live bait to test your theory."
And she was going to do just that. The deadly Crab was on the loose for blood right now. Just a little anyway.
