✗—PERSONALITY:
Joshua has grown up with a very stubborn mother and a very caring father. As such, he acquired traits from them both. He got his mother's fearless and righteous attitude along with his father's friendly and generous nature. He did however, also get his mother's uptight and vengeful traits. He also tends to have his father's ambiguousness and aloofness.

He has his beliefs and values that he holds above all others but he will set even those aside to help those in need. Once he earns the trust of another, or they earn his, he isn't one to set that trust aside for anything. The only thing he values more than the trust of another is the love of his family.

It's in Joshua's nature to be a bit timid around new people. In fact, he can be flat out evasive. He will even go so far as giving a false name to keep someone from looking into him too much. He will cover this by coming off as completely calm and witty, pulling their attention away from himself and back to them.

In that way, he is very strategic. He has trained himself to be. Joshua has more than once saved his own skin by being observant to his surroundings. Despite the fact that he prefers to plan ahead he has the ability to adapt to his current environment and be instinctive when the time calls for it.

Due to his standoffish nature, he doesn't see much of people so he tends to get lonely. When he does get lonely, most on the outside would just assume he is naturally mysterious. When approached he can come off as vague and maybe even shy.

As far as romance is concerned, it might as well be a foreign language. It's not that he wouldn't fall in love, it's more like he would have no idea how to express himself. His first defense would be to go to his sister for advice which means he would probably end up doing the most cliched stuff in the book due to his sister being all about romantic outings and beautiful flowers and chocolates.

So the girl (or guy) of his dreams would end up getting showered with gifts, taken out on romantic dates and have to deal with his sister wanting to know everything about him/her. He is one to express his feelings the moment he feels them, if he is open to you. Don't expect that same courtesy if you just met him.

✗—APPEARANCE:

The most outstanding feature of him is his hair color. It is naturally white and stands out very much, especially when his eyes are magenta red color. He cares himself in a way to show that he knows where he is going and he plans to get there in a projected time. His face is usually passive, as if he is in thought or as if he is over analyzing everything around him. When he looks at you, it's like he can read you from just a glance. Despite that, he has a warmth in his eyes that attracts.

His face is majorly masculine at this point in his life. The soft edges of his childhood are disappearing underneath the new shape of his face. You can still see hints of what he looked like as a kid but not a lot, and it slowly fades away completely day after day. That doesn't mean he has lost his child like qualities, actually his adult face only seems to compliment his nearly childish expressions.

He tends to cover up as if the weather is always cold. Despite that he never appears to sweat even with all the clothes he wears. Though he says he dresses that way because he doesn't want to stand out too much, which is actually doing the exact opposite. He can usually be found wearing a hat with a bee stitched into it and a scarf. The only time he would wear less is if his mother scolded him for not being more open or his sister advised against it. In terms of body shape, he has a small frame but it is a frame built for speed. He is lean and due to the work he does with making guns, he is fit.

✗—FIGHTING STYLE:

O HANDGUN - A handmade gun bigger than a standard pistol. It's a creation of Joshua's family with an added touch of his own. It's his main weapon. The gun has three different modes; Airissault - uses compressed air that causes a wall of air to blast in front of him which sends the target flying back. Icessault - uses water frozen using air to fire long range, not as accurate as a sniper but makes up for it with having amazing strength. Scatterassault - Uses a single bullet with capsulated air inside that when fired shoots these air filled capsules 180 degrees from where it was shot.
O PUSH DAGGERS - He uses these only if his target gets too close for comfort. The two small blades are shaped like T's. The handle rests in his palm while the blade rests between his fingers. He uses them as one would a claw or a fist. The blade and handle are made from the same metal that makes his gun. The handle itself is shaped into a simple but elegant fan-like design. In matter of size, the blade extends from his fist about 3 inches while the handle is only 2 inches in length.
O MIXED MARTIAL ARTS - If for some reason he loses his weapons, he resorts to using his mixed martial arts, with a bit of his elements thrown in. He uses air and a small bit of water to trip up his opponents or other wise incapacitate them so that he may get to his gun or push daggers.

✗—INVENTORY:

O HANDGUN - his gun designed partially by his father and partially by himself. Unlimited uses.

O Pair of Push Daggers –Beautiful and elegant daggers that rest in the palm of his hands. Unlimited uses.

O Pack of Ammo - The bullets for the scattershot. He makes these when he has the time using scrap metal he finds around. He carried 15 of them in a small case with his name engraved on the front. 15 uses

O Engraved Case - The small case that contains the ammo he creates for his scattershot. It can hold up to 20 but he never has it completely full.

O Health Tablets - His mother's special recipe that is rumored to restore health AND revitalize the body making ti easier to move. If it does do this, it doesn't show. Increases HP - 6 uses

✗—NORMAL ABILITIES:

O Icessault Standard Shot - a single shot of frozen water that fires long range, not as accurate as a sniper but makes up for it with having amazing strength. Damage: 5 - 10 / Water Damage 0 - 4

O Scatterassault Standard Shot - a single bullet with capsulated air inside that when fired shoots these air filled capsules 180 degrees from where it was shot. This allows him to guide where they go, like guided missiles. Using the air within the capsules he can make them aim for one target coming in all directions or at a single point. Damage Per Bullet Hit: 0 - 1 / Max number of hits possible: 12

O Airissault Standard Shot - uses compressed air that causes a wall of air to blast in front of him which sends the target flying back. In terms of damage, it doesn't do any. It's main use is to put distance between him and the target. It can push the target up to a distance of 15 feet away.

O Standard Stab/Punch - A punch that can do standard damage unless used with his push dagger. With the push dagger the damage is doubled. Damage: 3 - 8 / Dagger Damage: 6 - 16

O Description - In this form, his hair grows long and his eyes become a blue shade. This is far from the only changes though. Along with the long hair and eyes, he has elongated canines and his legs are longer, giving him added height. His body becomes a bit more bulky while still remaining lean. A body made for running and still dishing out hits. He also has natural claws to take the place of his push daggers while he is in normal form. Then of course, he gets white wolf ears rather than his human ones. In terms of his mental condition while he is in this form, him and his beast' personalities blend and they act as a single unit, as if they are a different person composed of the two. So his actions tend to be more driven on instinct than normal.

✗—CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS:
Mother – Janice Lyall – a headstrong woman with a stubborn attitude. She is the matriarch type, overseeing her family with an iron fist, and a very loud bark. She can nag with the best of them and shows her concern for her children and her husband by being harsh and scolding them. The two have a healthy relationship, though she screams at him a lot, he gets it's just her way of showing how much she cares.

Father – Denarius Vãn Lyall – a quiet silent man. He focuses mostly on his work but when he isn't working, he is helping his brother out. He tends to help others out even if he is in no position to help anyone. His wife scolds him for doing this but in truth, it's what she loves about him. He will go out of his way to see that someone else is happy. These are the values he tried to instill in Joshua. Their relationship is pretty stable, though they only really talk to each other while working and even then, they don't really talk about feelings. They tend to be quiet but it's a wholesome silence.

Uncle – Lucus Vãn Lyall – Nothing like his older brother. Of the two, he is the loud fun loving one. He is a blacksmith that specializes in blades. He is the one who made Joshua's push daggers. He is often around the family, as he doesn't have his own wife or kids he has kind of adopted Joshua and his sister as his own. He taught Joshua how to fight. They talk a lot about various things. Joshua sees him as a close friend and a father figure, along with his real father.

Sister – Lauren Roetta Lyall – Joshua's younger sister who would much rather make bouquets then fight. She speaks her mind and has been known to scold Joshua when their mother isn't around. The two of them spent a lot of their childhood playing together so he tends to tell her everything and she, him. There isn't much that they don't know about each other.

✗—CHARACTER BACKSTORY:

O Before the Academy: He was living in Perion with his family. In fact, he spent all of his time with his sister and his uncle, when he wasn't with his father teaching him how to manipulate metal to make guns. His mother busied herself making her famous health tablets. When Joshua was working with their dad, Lauren would go work with their mother. Joshua used to poke fun at Lauren by saying that she was getting so much scolding that she was trying to pass it on to him now.

He and Lauren were known for causing mischief at their Uncle's shop. They would scare off customers and generally get into trouble. Their Uncle Luke, as they called him, would threaten to turn them in to their mother which would send them right back on the righteous path, at least until Lauren got bored again. His early years went on like this until one day his young sister caught the eye of a wanderer, who claimed to be from Maelstrom. He decided that he wanted her so he played on her heart strings, portraying himself to be the picture perfect man for to, and she fell for it. Joshua didn't know anything about love at that time so he was completely oblivious to the man's true nature.

He was a snake that snuck into their garden. A snake that eventually tried to strike. Joshua was finishing up some touches on his weapon when he heard the muffled cries of his sister. He immediately went to investigate and found her being held down by the man. Joshua immediately blasted him away from his sister with a shot. Then he pummeled the man while his sister tried to stop him. His father had to drag him away from the beaten man and he continued to scream at the man for daring to hurt his sister.

After that, he decided that he needed to become more observant, he wouldn't let his sister fall into a trap like that again. SO he decided that the best way to become not only more observant but to also become a stronger fighter was to join an Academy and it only seemed naturally to join the opposing Academy. So he packed up and making his uncle promise to take care of his sister, he went off to Tempest Academy.

O After the Academy: He has been at the Academy for almost three years. In that time, he has learned to better handle his weapon and how to use his zodiac elements with it. Joshua made a few acquaintances while there but no one he is truly close to. He is just starting to ease up on trying to become stronger and is just looking towards expanding his own life. He realized once he got to the Academy that he had been so engrossed in his family that he never bothered to make friends, other than Jada. Up until then Jada had just laid around, watching him from a distance as if she found him utterly boring. The incident with his sister caught her attention and her respect. Ever since, she had become his most trusted ally and he had become hers.

When he started attendance at the Tempest Academy, he didn't bother getting close to anyone. Not to say no one tried, he just discouraged it to the point that most just ignored him or looked from afar. He engrossed himself fully into his lessons. He would become the best, or would die trying. That was all he cared about until one day.

One day, he thought about something other than his family and becoming stronger. One day, he saw a beautiful water fairy between lessons. He hadn't paid any attention to the other girls at the Academy but she... she was different. She walked alone, and whenever he saw her, she was alone. It kind of reminded him of himself. He was a loner outside of his family, and he found himself wondering if it was the same for her. He never found out her name, because he never asked and he never introduced himself either because he wouldn't let himself. Whether he liked a girl or not, he wasn't about to become so engrossed in feelings that he would neglect the very reason he came here.

So he continues working to become stronger. Now he finds himself ready to look towards the future. Whether that be death fighting or if it is becoming a father or a favorite uncle, he is going to continue on the path he is now on. He won't stop until he sees this through to the end.
