What Sleeps In Caves? (Group 1)

With Teagan, it was all about the intentions.

She had meant to be ready for the quest. She had tried to remember the date and time in her head. She had intended to be there early to at least seem somewhat respectable. But what one hopes for often doesn't come to fruition. While she hadn't arrived early, she hadn't arrive late, either, she supposed as she approached the subway in Kerning City. Her eyes caught sight of only one figure while the details of the quest had specified there would be a set of twins plus one other, not counting herself. She could only assume that the twins - the Scarlet twins, were they? - had yet to arrive. The other student was Aoi something-or-other. It fit, definitely. There was most certainly a blue theme going on over there, and she would have found it funny if the girl had been named that yet had a different hair color. Worryingly enough, all three of her quest companions were from Tempest Academy while she herself was from Maelstrom. It was only natural to feel like the minority, the under dog. She tried not to let it get to her, though. This was neutral ground, and they were advancing for a common purpose. Though that may be, she couldn't help but feel somewhat persecuted, as if they would attack together at any moment. It was bad enough that she was worrying about who would be able to keep up or not. Team quests just never ended in her favor. It almost felt like an obligation to keep her party accounted for, despite their own capabilities.

Teagan's heavy combat boots trudged loudly against the loose gravel as she approached the blue-haired girl, announcing her presence obviously. There was no need to sneak up on an ally. Her somewhat tight-fitting clothes were appropriate for a mission underground. It would keep her warm and dry and, hopefully, safe. A white baseball cap, starkly contrasting against her inky black hair, sat on her head, shielding her sensitive skin from the harsh glare of the sun. Fortunately, they would descend into the subway tunnels soon, where her hat would no longer be needed. The reassuring weight of her kukri was felt on the left side of her waist, and she comforted herself with the memory of her meal of apples that she had consumed before leaving the academy. She wouldn't be hungry any time soon, she figured. Although, the world could definitely do with a few less Tempest students.

She immediately shook the thought from her mind. It would not turn out well if she sucked her companions dry. She needed them for now, after all. Besides, it couldn't be said if they would even taste that good. "Heya, there." Teagan greeted her companion casually, opting to levitate herself as she neared. The open maw of the subway gaped before them, threatening and dark. "Uhh, Aoi, right?"
